The administering apparatus comprises a container (1) having a cavity and used for accommodating an agent, a catheter (2) in communication with the container (1) and used for introducing the agent in the container (1) into the nasal cavity, and a spray nozzle (4) arranged at an extremity of the catheter (2). The extremity of the catheter (2) can be extended into the olfactory area above a horizontal position corresponding to the middle nasal concha. The administering apparatus also comprises a pressure-sensitive film (3) that is arranged within the container (1), is used for separating the cavity of the container (1) into multiple discrete cavities (8 and 9), and ruptures under pressure. The other extremity of the catheter (2) is connected to one among the multiple cavities (8 and 9). The administering apparatus also comprises a soluble film (9) that is used for separating a lumen of the catheter (2) from the cavity (8) connected thereto and dissolves either partially or completely upon contact with the agent.
