The measure comprises a body (12) including measurement marks (27) and one or more gauges, extendible substantially widthways from the body. Each gauge is adapted to measure one or more specific fish, crustaceans or shellfish. In use, fish, crustaceans or shellfish can be measured by use of the measurement marks on the body and or one or more gauge. The body further includes a plurality of parts (14, 16) which are extensible lengthways to allow measurement of longer fish, crustaceans or shellfish.
