PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pants-type diaper which has preferable fitting property in the vicinity of leg-surrounding opening parts, and which facilitates determination of a front side and a back side of the pants-type diaper.SOLUTION: An absorbent article regarding a vertical direction, a lateral direction and a cross direction comprises: an absorbent body along the vertical direction and sheet members each comprising a belt part along the lateral direction, and a leg gathering part along the vertical direction. The absorbent article further comprises: a trunk-surrounding opening part and a pair of leg-surrounding opening parts. A first joint part for jointing the absorbent body and the sheet member in a front side, and a second joint part for jointing the absorbent body and the sheet material in a rear side, which are inclined to outside of the lateral direction, from the trunk-surrounding opening side to the leg-surrounding opening parts, in the vertical direction, are provided. A shortest distance between the lower end part of the first joint part and peripheral edge of the leg-surrounding opening part, is longer than a shortest distance between a lower end part of the second joint part and peripheral edge of the leg-surrounding opening part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
