PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underpants-type absorbent article allowing a side sealed part to be easily continuously torn in the longitudinal direction when the side sealed part is torn to take off the absorbent article to be discarded.SOLUTION: An underpants-type absorbent article 1A includes an exterior body 2 and an absorbent body 3. Both side edges of an abdominal side part A and both side edges of a back side part B of the exterior body 2 are joined to each other to form side sealed parts S, a waist opening part WO and leg opening parts LO. Each side sealed part S has a plurality of joint parts 5 intermittently formed in the longitudinal direction X. The plurality of joint parts 5 are disposed in such a pattern that the angle of inclination &alpha1 relative to the lateral direction Y is larger in the leg opening part LO side than in the waist opening part WO side, and that the joint part 5 closest to the waist opening part WO is substantially parallel to the lateral direction Y.
