PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article in which a leakage prevention wall part properly acts to suppress leakage of excrement.SOLUTION: An absorbent article comprises an absorbent body along a longitudinal direction, an elastic belt part along a lateral direction, and a pair of leg peripheral openings. The absorbent body has an absorbent core for absorbing a liquid. At both side parts of the absorbent body in the lateral direction, a pair of leakage prevention wall parts standing from a skin side surface are provided. A pair of joining parts for joining at least the absorbent body, the belt part, and the leakage prevention wall parts, which are inclined outward in the lateral direction from the upper side in the longitudinal direction toward the pair of leg peripheral openings respectively, are provided on the front side and the rear side in a front-rear direction. A pair of fixing parts for fixing longitudinal end parts of the pair of leakage prevention wall parts in a state of lying down toward the skin side surface of the absorbent body are provided on the front side and the rear side, respectively.
