PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a sharp needle tip in a fishhook on which a surface treatment such as a chemical treatment and a black dye is performed.SOLUTION: The fishhook is manufactured by a method comprising: a molding step 1 for processing a wire into a fishhook shape a heat treatment step 2 for hardening and tempering the molded fishhook material a chemical polishing step 3 for chemically polishing the heat-treated molding material a surface treatment step 4 for performing the surface treatment, such as the black dye, on the whole of chemically polished fishhook material a needle tip part chemical polishing step 5 for polishing only a needle tip part of the fishhook material, whole of which has been surface treated and a rust preventive coating step 6 for applying rust preventive coating on the whole of fishhook material. The fishhook manufactured by the manufacturing method has the sharp needle tip due to a polished surface treatment film of magnetite and the like at the needle tip part.
