The present invention relates to a container, in particular for the cultivation of plants, which comprises a bottom from which a peripheral wall rises, this bottom and this wall together defining a hollow volume called internal volume "(V). characterized in that at least said peripheral wall comprises a multilayer structure (2) which comprises, from said internal volume (V) towards the outside: a first layer (20) of a porous material, that is to say, permeable to water； a second colored layer (21) insoluble in water； a third layer (22) of a hydrochrome ink which covers at least a portion of the second colored layer, this ink being opaque in the absence of water and transparent in the presence of water, - a fourth layer (23) of a transparent and impermeable material. La présente invention se rapporte à un récipient, notamment pour la culture de plantes, qui comporte un fond à partir duquel s'élève une paroi périphérique, ce fond et cette paroi définissant ensemble un volume creux dit volume interne" (V).
