PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which has improved fitness to groove-shaped recesses that extend along the groin at a crotch.SOLUTION: An absorber 13 has in a crotch part overhanging parts 13S overhanging outside in a width direction to parts on both sides back and forth. Three-dimensional gathers BS are extended from reverse sides of the overhanging parts 13S of at least the absorber 13 to upper side parts of the surface sheet by wrapping around sides of the absorber 13, and has groin parts fixed to members adjacent to the surface side at parts located on the reverse side of the absorber. Back and forth both end parts of parts nearer end sides than the groin parts in the three-dimensional gathers BS are non-standing parts fixed to the adjacent members, and an intermediate part between the non-standing parts is a free part unfixed. Vertically slender gather elastic stretch members are fixed in a stretched state along the back and forth direction at parts located on the reverse sides of the overhanging parts 13S in the three-dimensional gathers BS.
