PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable wearing article which can keep a state in which hips are covered by a rear waist panel side of a crotch region.SOLUTION: A diaper 10 includes a front waist panel 14, a rear waist panel 15, an absorbent panel 16, a liquid absorbent core 35, and a pair of leakage prevention cuffs 60. The leakage prevention cuff 60 has a base end part 62 extending in a longitudinal direction (Y) and a free part 63 where plural strips of cuff elastic bodies 64 which can expand and contract in the longitudinal direction (Y) are arranged. A side extending part 61 which has a leg elastic body 65 and extends in the longitudinal direction (Y) is positioned outside the base end part in a lateral direction (X). The number of sheets forming the side extending part is more than the number of sheets forming the leakage prevention cuff. In the side extending part, plural strips of the cuff elastic bodies 64 are arranged. An elongation magnification of the leg elastic body is smaller than that of the cuff elastic body.
