PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce chondrocytes from a pluripotent stem cell.SOLUTION: A method for producing chondrocytes from a pluripotent stem cell includes the following processes: (i) a process of inducing a mesoderm cell by adhesion culturing a pluripotent stem cell； (ii) a process of adhesion culturing the cell obtained in process (i) in culture solution containing one or more substances selected from the group consisting of BMP2, TGFβ and GDF5； and (iii) a process of suspension culturing the cell obtained in the process (ii) in culture solution containing one or more substances selected from the group consisting of BMP2, TGFβ and GDF5.
