The present invention relates to a dry powder formulation for inhalation and its use in the treatment of diseases and conditions. The formulation contains a uniform blend of the first spray-dried powder and the second spray-dried powder. The first spray-dried powder contains spray-dried particles of the therapeutically active ingredient dispersed in a pharmaceutically acceptable hydrophobic excipient. The second spray-dried powder contains spray-dried particles formed from pharmaceutically acceptable hydrophobic excipients, but is substantially free of any therapeutically active ingredients. The active ingredient in the first spray-dried powder is loaded high enough to compensate for the second spray-dried powder that is substantially free of any active ingredients.
