Healing clay-composition comprises (in wt.%): healing clay (90-99.9) and binding agent (0.1-10). An independent claim is also included for producing the healing clay-composition comprising (a) dissolving or suspending the binding agents in purified water, (b) mixing the healing clay with the binder-water-mixture after the step (a) and granulating, (c) optionally, dissolving or suspending the water-soluble polymers or film formers of the coating in purified water, and (d) coating the resulting granulate obtained in the step (b) with the coating-water-mixture after the step (c).
