To provide an ultrasonic probe which allows an increase in transmission POWER of an ultrasonic wave while suppressing increased temperature in a part in contact with a subject.
SOLUTION: An ultrasonic probe 2 comprises a heat-transfer member 24b for releasing HEAT in an ultrasonic transferring and receiving section 20 and a heat-transfer board 34 and a cable 40 for releasing HEAT in a circuit 30. The heat-transfer member 24b is made of a material with a high thermal conductivity and transfers HEAT in a bucking member 24 in a lateral direction more greatly than in an anteroposterior direction. This HEAT is released from a lateral of the bucking member 24 by a heat-transfer board 25. This can suppress increased temperature in the front face of a living body-contacting member 23. The heat-transfer board 34 and the cable 40 transfer HEAT of the circuit 30 in the posterior direction and the lateral direction and release. Thus and HEAT in the ultrasonic transferring and receiving section 20 and HEAT in the circuit 30 are efficiently released in different pathways, thereby increasing the transmission POWER of the ultrasonic wave.
