PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a puncture needle and a puncture needle kit capable of safely and properly securing an intravenous line even in an emergency.SOLUTION: A puncture needle 10 for securing an intravenous line includes an indwelling needle 15 and an inner needle 20. The inner needle 20 includes a needle tube 16 to be inserted in a cannula 12 provided in the indwelling needle 15. The needle tube 16 is provided with an insertion hole 16a into which a guide wire is inserted. The insertion hole 16a is provided with a guide to guide the guide wire. The needle tube 16 has a sharp shape at a tip thereof, the shape being formed with multiple notched surfaces.
