PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve safety and handleability of a protection device.SOLUTION: A syringe 10 comprises a needle 12, a body part 14, and a protection device 20C. The protection device 20C includes: an inner cylinder 142 rotatably fitted to the body part 14 and having a projection 154 an outer cylinder 140 covering the needle 12 and the inner cylinder 142 before puncture, exposing the needle 12 by retreating during puncture, and covering the needle 12 by advancing after puncture and a cover 144 covering the outer cylinder 140.
