The present invention provides a generatively produced custom horseshoe (1) made of a metal material having a plurality of through-holes (2) for horseshoe nails. The custom horseshoe (1) has at least one lightweight structure in its interior (4). According to the invention, a generative production method for custom horseshoes is provided, which comprises the steps of: - carrying out a 3D scan and capturing the geometry of the hoof and storing the captured 3D scan data, - supplying the 3D scan data and supplying supplementary structure data to CAD software in order to generate layer data of the custom horseshoe from the 3D scan data and the supplementary structure data, and then - supplying the layer data to a production device configured for the generative production of metal components, and - providing a metal powder, and - producing the custom horseshoe (1) in layers.
