PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide use of mesenchymal stem cells as a pharmaceutical.SOLUTION: There is provided a method of treating inflammation responses, autoimmune diseases, allergic responses, cancers, inflammatory diseases in brain, skin, gut (in inflammatory bowel disease), liver (in chronic hepatitis), eye, spinal cord, pregnant uterus and placenta, ovary, testes, adrenal cortex, or hair follicles in an animal, promoting healing of a wound such as burn, cut or laceration, and promoting angiogenesis in an organ or tissue other than the heart of an animal by administering animal mesenchymal stem cells without genetic manipulation in an effective amount (1×10-1×10cells/kg, preferably 1×10-5×10cells/kg).
