PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article with improved suppleness of an absorber.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 10 includes: a liquid permeable surface sheet 14 a liquid impermeable rear surface sheet 12 and an absorber 13 arranged between the surface sheet 14 and the rear surface sheet 12. In the absorber 13, a plurality of recesses 502 are formed on the surface on the side of the surface sheet 14. The plurality of recesses 502 form a plurality of first patterns 501a extending in parallel to a first direction and a plurality of second patterns 501b extending in parallel to a second direction crossing the first direction. The plurality of first patterns 501a and the plurality of second patterns 501b form a plurality of crossing regions (901, 902) where the first direction and the second direction cross.
