The device comprises the cage, wherein a front door, a bottom net layer and a plurality of side nets arranged at equal intervals are arranged in the cage the cage is divided into a plurality of space units by the side nets the side nets are parallel to one another, and the distances among the side nets are equal each bottom net layer comprises a bottom net blocking part a bottom net blocking part which can move linearly in a direction parallel to the front door is arranged at the bottom of each space unit in a sliding connection manner the bottom net blocking part of each space unit is consistent with the shape and the size of each space unit in an overlooking direction the bottom net layer is connected with a driving device through a transmission device and when the quantity of the space units is larger than 1, hollow parts which can enable the fowls to fall are arranged on the bottom net layer at the same height. The device and the method have the advantage as follows: chickens in the cage can be emptied conveniently.
