The present invention provides a process for the in vitro cultivation of Leucophyllum frutescens, due to the characteristics presented by this bush, amongst which are: L. frutescens is a species that produces metabolites of interests for the health area, as they present antibacterial activity, especially against tuberculosis, which are intended to provide a natural antituberculosis alternative, in addition the implementation of the in vitro cultivation in this species avoiding damages in the wild population of the same. The aforementioned process comprises the following steps: a) collecting the material b) disinfecting the seed c) sowing, and maintaining the crop d) obtaining the in vitro cultivation.La presente invención provee un proceso de cultivo in vitro de Leucophyllum frutescens, debido a las características que presenta este arbusto, entre las cuales se encuentran las siguientes: L. frutescens es una especie que se ha visto produce metabolitos que son de interés para el área de la salud ya que presentan actividad antibacteriana, en especial antituberculosa, con las que se pretende buscar nuevas alternativas naturales para la tuberculosis, además con la implementación del cultivo in vitro para esta especie se busca evitar el deterioro de la población silvestre de la misma. El proceso descrito en esta invención comprende de las etapas: a) colecta de material b) desinfección de la semilla c) siembra, y mantenimiento del cultivo d) obtención del cultivo in vitro.
