PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article having a wood pulp fiber as the raw material so as to achieve cost reduction, excellent in an absorption speed, and having a small liquid return amount.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 200 includes: a liquid permeable top sheet 202 forming a body contact side surface a liquid impermeable back sheet 204 an absorbent core 210 arranged between the top sheet 202 and the back sheet 204, and having fluff pulp and water-absorbing resin and a core wrap sheet 206 covering the absorbent core 210. The core wrap sheet has pulp as the main ingredient, a basis weight of 15-45 g/m, a water absorption amount of 60-230 water-g/m, and a water absorption degree regulated in an old JIS-S3104 method of 25.0 sed/0.1 mL or less.
