PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent or suppress leakage of stool from the dorsal side by forming an index of an appropriate mounting position of an absorbent article. SOLUTION: This is an absorbent article having a liquid-retaining absorber 56 and a liquid-permeable top sheet 30 on the skin-facing surface side of the absorber 56, and absorbs the body fluid that has passed through the top sheet 30. It has an intermediate sheet to be transferred to the body 30, and is visible through the top sheet 30 on the dorsal side of the absorbent article in an index region TZ from at least the dorsal edge of the absorbent body 30 toward the center side in the front-rear direction.
