PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a xanthine oxidase inhibitor having a xanthine oxidase inhibitory effect and a uric acid production inhibitor having an inhibitory effect on uric acid production.
SOLUTION: The xanthine oxidase inhibitor comprises at least one extract of a plant selected from the group consisting of Zanthoxylum bungeanum, Sorghum nervosum, Cuminum cyminum and Rosa centifolia.
