The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition and a health supplement for preventing or treating thrombosis which include Arctium lappa extract as an active ingredient and, more specifically, to a pharmaceutical composition and a health supplement for preventing or treating thrombosis which include ethanol extract of the Arctium lappa extract as an active ingredient. The Arctium lappa extract as the active ingredient of the pharmaceutical composition and health supplement for preventing or treating thrombosis of the present invention is prepared by successively fractioning using hexane, ethyl acetate, and butanol after preparing an extract by extracting the Arcrium lappa root area using ethanol as being proved through an embodiment of the specification. The ethyl acetate fraction which has antithrombotic activities by suppressing thrombin direction inhibition, prothrombin inhibition and blood coagulation factor inhibition effects can efficiently suppress thrombosis and can be used for preventing and treating thrombosis such as ischemic stroke and cerebral hemorrhage through improvement of blood flow. Especially, the Arctium lappa extract of the present invention does not show oral acute toxic, has enhanced thermal stability, does not show loss of thrombosis under pH2 acid condition and inside plasma in order to be prepared in forms which can be taken at any time by being processed into various forms such as extract, powder, pill, tablet, and the likes so that the Arctium lappa extract is useful invention in food and drug industries.본 발명은 우엉(Arctiumlappa) 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 혈전증(thrombosis)의 예방 또는 치료용 약학적 조성물 및 건강 기능 식품에 관한 것으로서, 보다 구체적으로는, 우엉의 에탄올 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 것을 특징으로 하는 혈전증의 예방 또는 치료용 약학적 조성물 및 상기 추출물을 포함하는 건강 기능 식품에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 혈전증의 예방 또는 치료용 약학적 조성물 및 건강 기능 식품의 유효성분으로서의 우엉 추출물은, 본 명세서의 실시예를 통해 증명된 바와 같이, 우엉 지하부를 에탄올 등으로 추출하여 추출물을 조제한 후, 헥센, 에틸아세테이트 및 부탄올을 이용하여 순차적으로 분획하여 조제되며, 이 중 우수한 트롬빈 직접저해, 프로트롬빈 저해 및 혈액응고인자 저해효과에 의한 항혈전 활성을 나타내는 에틸아세테이트 분획
