The present invention relates to a surgical screw capable of self-locking and a fusion device using same. The surgical screw comprises: a screw body having a body screw formed on the outer circumferential surface thereof and a body driving groove formed in the upper part thereof; and a head part rotatably fixed with respect to the screw body and capable of moving in the axis direction of the screw body, wherein, when the head part rotates relative to the screw body, the head part is spaced a predetermined distance apart from the screw body, causing the threads of the head part and the screw body to become discontinuous and thus the surgical screw to become locked. The surgical screw also allows the implementation of a fusion device in a different form by being coupled to a plate or a cage.
