A self-floating structure (1) for shellfish farming comprises a substantially cylindrical pillar (2) and, at one of the ends (3, 5) of the pillar, a fastener able to be secured to the bed of a body of water. The pillar (2) has an internal cavity (115) and is provided with at least two valves (107, 109) that are each disposed in the vicinity of respective ends of the pillar and make it possible to access the cavity from the outside of the pillar in order to at least partially fill a fluid having a density less than that of water into and to at least partially empty same from said cavity.Une structure autoflottante (1) de conchyliculture comprend un pilier (2), sensiblement cylindrique, et, à l'une des extrémités (3, 5) du pilier, une attache propre à être fixée à un fond aquatique.
