A self-floating shellfish farming structure comprises a pillar (2), substantially cylindrical, and at one end of the pillar, a fastener adapted to be attached to an aquatic bottom. The pillar (2) has an internal cavity and is provided with at least two valves each disposed in the vicinity of a respective end of the pillar and allowing access from the outside of the pillar to the cavity to fill and empty it at less partially of a fluid of lower density than that of water.
