PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain saw control part having a human engineering advantage and enabling improvement of chain saw control.SOLUTION: A chain saw 1 includes a guide bar 10, a cutting chain 11, and a driving unit 25 driving the cutting chain set around the guide bar 10. The guide bar 10 specifies a first longitudinal axis 16 extending along the central line of the guide bar 10. The chain saw 1 has further a handle part 2, and the handle part 2 includes the control part 3 arranged above the chain saw 1. The control part 3 includes a throttle lever 8 for controlling the speed of the driving unit 25 and has a left side 4 and a right side 5. The control part 3 specifies a second longitudinal axis 17 substantially extending along at least one upper surface of the control part 3.
