PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide instant food in a container for packing ingredients which cannot be freeze-dried and has slightly viscous liquid starch together, without using a retort pouch, thereby facilitating cooking only by pouring hot water.SOLUTION: The instant food in the container is so constituted that a sheet-shaped lid material 4 having a hot water draining hole 6 is bonded to the flange 3a of a container body 3, a food material is sealed in the container body 3, the hot water draining hole 6 is formed in a position close to the center and separated from the flange 3a of the container body 3 by at least 2 cm or more, a regulated amount of hot water remains in the container body 3 when hot water is removed with the sheet-shaped lid material 4 set vertically after the hot water is poured in the container body 3, and a seasoning or a soup stock which can be thickened by adding hot water is included in an attached seasoning pack.【課題】フリーズドライ加工になじまない、とろみのある「あん」を有する具材を、レトルトパックを用いずに同梱させることができ、熱湯を注ぐだけで簡単に調理することができる容器入り即席食品を提供する。【解決手段】湯切り穴６を有するシート状蓋材４が容器本体３のフランジ３ａに対して貼着され、容器本体３の内側に食材が封入され、湯切り穴６が、いずれも容器本体３のフランジ３ａから少なくとも２ｃｍ以上離れた中央寄りの位置に形成されており、容器本体３内に湯を注いで調理を行った後、シート状蓋材４が垂直となる状態で湯切りを行った場合に、容器本体３内に規定量の湯が残存するように構成され、付属する調味料パックの中に、湯に加えると、とろみをつけることができる調味料、又は、スープの素が含まれていることを特徴とする。【選択図】図１
