SOLUTION: The reheating method includes: housing cooked food in a reheating container 1 having an air layer in its side face part 10 refrigerating the food in the reheating container 1 due to circulatory supply of COLD air until mealtime and thereafter applying the hot air flowing in a horizontal direction due to the circulatory supply of the hot air to the side face part 10 of the reheating container 1 so as to reheat the refrigerated food to have an optimum temperature when it becomes time to eat.
