The present invention relates to a functional kimchi for improving skin health and a method for manufacturing the same. The method for manufacturing the kimchi according to the present invention, in the process of making the kimchi by adding spices to raw ingredients, comprises: 10-30 parts by weight of a functional additive for improving skin health is added per 100 parts by weight of the raw ingredients for the kimchi； and the functional additive for improving skin health which consist of 80-99 wt% of healthy functional food ingredients and 1-20 wt% of functional nutrients. The kimchi manufactured by the method can thereby be put to good use for patients with a skin disease by containing a number of healthy functional food ingredients with skin moisturizing and skin protection functions which contribute to skin health improvement.본 발명은 피부 건강 개선용 기능성 김치 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것으로서, 본 발명에 따른 김치의 제조방법은 김치 원재료에 양념을 첨가하여 김치를 제조하는 과정에서 상기 김치 원재료 100중량부에 대하여 피부 건강 개선용 기능성 첨가제 10 내지 30중량부를 더 첨가하되, 상기 피부 건강 개선용 기능성 첨가제는 건강기능식품원료 80 내지 99중량% 및 기능성영양소 1 내지 20중량%로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 한다. 상기한 본 발명에 따라 제조된 김치는 피부 보습이나 피부 보호가 가능한 동일한 기능성을 부여함으로써 피부 건강을 개선해줄 수 있는 건강기능식품원료를 다량 포함하고 있어 피부질환자에게 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
