PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for treatment of cancer by administration of glufosfamide in combination with gemcitabine.SOLUTION: Glufosfamide is administered for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, or more than 8 dosage cycles, each cycle comprising an infusion of glufosfamide in a specific range.
