A method to improve osteoarthritis by collagen hydrolysates derived from porcine skin. After minced the porcine skin as raw material, porcine skin collagen is extracted. By shredding the said collagen product, stirring it with deionized water 30 times and then heating the above up to 40℃, the collagen will be hydrolyzed with alcalase (A), protease N (N) and pepsin (p) respectively, and then suspend the enzyme reaction (inactivation). After freeze-dried, the collection can improve osteoarthritis. In order to enhance the availability and reduce the environmental issues of livestock pollution, we would like to utilize the abandoned porcine skin for the development of a functional peptide, which may prevent or improve the progression of osteoarthritis.一種以豬皮的膠原蛋白水解物製作改善退化性關節炎產物之方法,其係取豬隻的豬皮係為原料,經絞碎後,萃取豬皮膠原蛋白,再取該豬皮膠原蛋白成品剪碎後,加入30倍的去離子水攪拌均勻後加熱至40℃,以下列三種酵素:鹼性蛋白酶(Alcalase)、蛋白酶N(Protease N)、胃蛋白酶(Pepsin)中的任一種進行水解,接著中止酵素反應(失活),再以流水冷卻後乾燥,收集乾燥粉末,即為改善退化性關節炎產物;藉此,不僅可提高豬皮之附加價值,增加產業界收益與減少豬皮廢棄對環境污染之問題外,並可有助於退化性關節炎患者病情改善。
