PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized brach/leaf and surface soil recovery machine excellent in workability, by preventing undergrowth, fallen leaves, branches and surface soil from clogging in a suction pipe or the like.SOLUTION: The branch/leaf and surface soil recovery machine 2 sucks and recovers a recovery object while crushing, and comprises a cover 12 for internally forming a cover chamber 21 including an opening part 21a for opening a lower part and a cylindrical surface part 21b having an upper part formed in a semi-cylindrical shape, an intake connection part 13 formed in the upper part of the cover 12, a rotary shaft part 14 extending in the axial direction of the cover chamber 21 and rotatably journaled in the cover chamber 21 and a rotary blade 15 for providing a crushing blade part 25 in a tip part of a root part 24 extending in the radial direction from a peripheral surface of the rotary shaft part 14.
