PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ridge-forming machine properly enabling a ridge top surface soil shaver to be housed when it does not need to be used.SOLUTION: The ridge-forming machine includes: a soil-mounding apparatus for mounding soil on the existing ridge surface a ridge-forming apparatus for forming a new ridge by compacting the soil on the mounded soil mounded by the soil-mounding apparatus and a ridge top surface soil shaver with a working position brought into contact with the ridge top surface when being in operation.
