A system is provided for optically measuring internal dimensions of a sampleobject, for example an eye, said object comprising internal interfaces at which therefractionindex changes so that a portion of incident light is backreflected and/orbackscattered and can be detected, by means of optical coherence tomography, comprising at least one first OCT device adapted to measure internaldimensions ina first partial volume of the object, characterized by a combination with atleast onesecond OCT device adapted to measure internal dimensions in a second partialvolume of the same object, wherein the second partial volume is at leastpartiallydifferent from the first partial volume. The first and second OCT devices mayshareat least partially spatially superimposed first and second sample arms, whichmayhave respective different focal lengths and pass through a common optical lenssystem toward the object, and which may share a common light source. Internaldimensions in a first partial volume of the object and internal dimensions inasecond partial volume of the same object are measured by means of opticalcoherence tomography in a single measurement operation, but with differentspatialresolution.
