PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake device of a walking aid which is capable of preventing an accident due to acceleration on a downhill, and protecting safety of a user on an uphill.SOLUTION: In the walking aid constituted of a body 10 to be a framework, holding parts 20 provided on both sides at the upper part of the body 10, and front and rear wheels 30 provided at the front and rear of the lower part of the body 10, a connection pipe 41 is formed at the upper part of a bracket 40 for rotatably supporting the wheels 30, the lower part of the body 10 is vertically movably inserted into the connection pipe 41, a brake pin 50 to be in contact with the wheels 30 when lowered is resiliently urged by a spring 60 and installed at the lower part of the body 10, a pin hole 42 into which the brake pin 50 is to be inserted is formed at the lower center part of the connection pipe 41, and a snap ring 70 is held and fixed to the brake pin 50 made to pass through the pin hole 42 and projecting from the lower part.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】下り坂での加速による事故を防止することができるようにし、また、登り坂で使用者の安全を保護できるようにした歩行補助具の制動装置を提供する。【解決手段】枠組みになる本体10、本体10の上部両側に具備される把持部20、本体10の下部の前後に備わる前後車輪30で構成された歩行補助具において、前記車輪30を回転可能に支持するブラケット40の上部に連結管41を形成し、この連結管41に本体10の下部を上下に移動可能に挿入し、前記本体10の下部にその下降時に車輪30と接触する制動ピン50をスプリング60で弾性付勢して設置し、前記連結管41の下部中央部に制動ピン50が挿通するピン孔42を形成し、前記ピン孔42を貫通して下部に突出した制動ピン50にスナップリング70を挟んで固定した構成である。【選択図】 図2b
