PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which effectively utilizes the entire absorber by quickly dispersing a body fluid.SOLUTION: An absorbent article includes a liquid permeable surface sheet 14, a liquid impermeable rear surface sheet, and an absorber 13 which is arranged between the surface sheet and the rear surface sheet and includes a pulp fiber and SAP. In the absorbent article, a side of the surface sheet of the absorbent article includes a flat part and a plurality of recessed parts where the surface sheet and the absorber are integrally joined. The plurality of the recessed parts form a plurality of flow passages 21 by partitioning the flat part into a plurality of flat sections 24 for passing a liquid.
