PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new &beta-glucan composition composed of a combination of a plurality of materials each having high &beta-glucan content without causing the cancellation of the effects of these materials, having good taste, palatability, etc., and exhibiting excellent synergistic immunoenhancing effect compared with the single use of the material and provide a health supplement composed of the &beta-glucan composition and a health food compounded with the &beta-glucan composition.
SOLUTION: The &beta-glucan composition contains (A) a &beta-glucan derived from Rokkaku-reishi (a species of Ganoderma lucidum), (B) &beta-1,3-1,4-glucan derived from barley and (C) &beta-1,3-1,6-glucan derived from Aureobasidium pullulans as essential components.
