Suggested is a non-therapeutic use of a composition comprising a compound of formula (I) wherein R and R' independently of one another denote hydrogen, hydroxyl, a linear or branched OC 1 -C 4 -alkyl group, or optionally R and R' form together a methylenedioxy group resulting in a 3,4-methylendioxyphenyl residue and R" denotes a linear or branched C 1 -C 9 alkyl group or A, wherein A denotes with X, Y and Z being independently of one another hydrogen, hydroxyl, an linear or branched C 1 -C 4 -alkyl group, or a linear or branched OC 1 -C 4 -alkyl group, as stimulator for the biosynthesis of hyaluronan in human tissue or skin or hair.
