PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corpse storage device that is capable of performing deterioration suppression, spoilage suppression, dry deterrence, bad smell occurrence suppression or the like of a corpse.SOLUTION: A corpse receiving chamber is disposed on an attachment receiving chamber, a tabular lower electrode is disposed in the inside of the bottom of the corpse receiving chamber, a tabular upper electrode is disposed in the inside of a lid of the corpse receiving chamber, a power supply apparatus for generating a high voltage obtained from a commercial AC and a cooling unit for supplying cooling air of a freezing point or less are received in the attachment receiving chamber, the power supply apparatus is connected to the upper electrode and the lower electrode, and an electric line of force is generated between the upper electrode and the lower electrode. An AC high electric field generated between the upper electrode and the lower electrode is applied to the corpse placed on the lower electrode, and therefore the corpse never freezes up even by the cool air supplied from the cooling unit and the corpse never rots.
