PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external preparation for the skin which has softness of the skin, excellent rich texture, non-stickiness, gloss feeling and good moisturizing feeling by using a combination of an oil-soluble chamomile extract and carnitines.SOLUTION: There is provided an external preparation for the skin which comprises the following components (A) to (E), wherein the mass content ratio [(C)/(D)] of the component (C) to the component (D) is 2.3 or more and 7.8 or less and the content of the component (E) is 0.1 mass% or more and 3.5 mass% or less.
