PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external preparation for the skin which has excellent stability, softness of the skin, excellent gloss feeling, non-stickiness and good moisturizing feeling by using a combination of an oil-soluble chamomile extract and carnitines.SOLUTION: There is provided an external preparation for the skin which comprises the following components (A) to (D), wherein the mass content ratio [(C)/(D)] of the component (C) to the component (D) is 1.1 or more and 45 or less.
