PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an emulsion cosmetic containing a chamomile extract that has a uniform emulsified particle size and a good emulsification system even on a large scale.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method for producing an emulsion cosmetic composition containing: 0.001 to 5 mass% of an oil-soluble chamomile extract as a dry solid content； an oil agent containing an amphiphilic solid fat； and water. The method for producing the emulsion cosmetic has: a step (step 1) of adding, to a stirring tank having stirring blades, an oil phase containing a soluble chamomile extract and an oil agent containing an amphiphilic solid fat, and an aqueous phase containing water in an amount such that the liquid depth is 50 to 110% with respect to the inner diameter of the stirring vessel, and agitating with a stirring means having a stirring blade diameter of 58 to 90% with respect to the liquid depth at a temperature of the a melting point (T1) to T1 + 30°C of the amphiphilic solid fat； and a step (step 2) of cooling the composition obtained in the step 1 to 25±5°C.SELECTED DRAWING: None【課題】大量スケールにおいても、乳化粒子径が均一で良好な乳化系を有するカミツレ抽出物含有乳化化粧料の製造法の提供。【解決手段】油溶性カミツレ抽出物を乾燥固形分量として０．００１～５質量％、両親媒性固体脂を含む油剤及び水を含有する乳化化粧料組成物の製造法であって、 撹拌翼を有する撹拌槽に、油溶性カミツレ抽出物と両親媒性固体脂を含む油剤とを含有する油相と、水を含有する水相とを、撹拌槽内径に対して５０～１１０％の液深さになる量添加し、前記両親媒性固体脂の融点（Ｔ１）～Ｔ１＋３０℃の温度下、前記液深さに対して５８～９０％の撹拌翼径を有する撹拌手段により撹拌する工程（工程１）、並びに 工程１で得られた組成物を２５±５℃まで冷却する工程（工程２）を有する乳化化粧料の製造法。【選択図】なし
