A removable apparatus for driving an electric wheelchair comprises: a fixing member mounted in a main frame of an electric wheelchair by a mounting unit； a housing mounted on the fixing member by a coupling member to be rotated in a left, a right, an upward, and a downward direction； wheels which are installed on the housing and come in contact with the ground to provide a drive force； a drive motor installed on the housing to rotate the wheels in a forward and a reverse direction； a first support unit installed on the coupling member to elastically bias the housing towards the ground； and a second support unit installed on the fixing member and the coupling member to guide the housing rotated in a left and a right direction with respect to the coupling member to a middle portion. The removable apparatus for driving an electric wheelchair according to the present invention can easily turn a wheelchair which does not have a drive unit into an electric wheelchair, and be easily mounted on a wheelchair and separated from the wheelchair to provide user convenience.본 발명은 탈부착이 가능한 전동 휠체어 구동장치는 전동휠체어의 메인프레임과 결합부에 의해 결합되는 고정부재와, 상기 고정부재와 연결부재에 의해 결합되어 좌우 상하방향으로 회동되는 하우징과, 상기 하우징에 설치되며 지면에 접촉되어 구동력을 제공하는 휠과, 상기 하우징에 설치되어 휠을 정역회전시키는 구동모터와, 상기 연결부재에 설치되어 상기 하우징을 지면방향으로 탄성바이어스시키는 제1지지유닛과, 상기 고정부재와 연결부재에 설치되어 상기 연결부재에 대해 좌우방향으로 회동된 하우징을 중앙부측으로 유도하기 위한 제 2지지유닛을 구비한다. 본 발명에 따른 구동장치는 구동부를 가지고 있지 않은 휠체어를 쉽게 전동횔체어화 시킬 수 있으며, 휠체어에 용이하게 결합 및 분리할 수 있어 사용이 편리하다.
