PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a candy-like food having fondant as the raw material, and molded in a candy-like shape so as to smooth swallowing, and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: A candy-like food is obtained by: (a) mixing water of two times or less of starch syrup with 10-30 pts.wt. of starch syrup, based on 90-110 pts.wt. of sugar (b) super saturating sugar through two times boiling so as to make a sugar solution (c) radiating the solution on an iron plate (d) binding fine molecules of air with cooled dough, stirring until the molecules become white, and mixing an additive followed by stirring (e) kneading the stirred dough while cooling on a cooling base, and evenly cooling to make a pasty dough sugar solution comprising fondant (f) molding the solution in a rod-like shape with a rod-like product molding machine and (g) cutting the product into many pieces in a prescribed length with a cutter.
