The method involves filling a paste mass i.e. sausage meat, in a filling tube (2) by using a conveyor unit, extruding the mass and extruding a casing onto the tube. The casing is moved at a distance towards an end (8) of the tube. A bonding agent e.g. distilled water, is supplied between the mass and the casing. The bonding agent is introduced as a sliding agent between the casing and the tube, and the mass is ejected into the casing through the tube, where cross-sectional ring area of the bonding agent amounts to 0.1 to 2 percent of cross-sectional area of the ejected mass.
