A combination composition comprising as active components, in synergistically effective amounts of (i) a steroidal saponin of natural or synthetic origin, a pharmaceutical acceptable salt thereof or a plant extract containing steroidal saponin, and (ii) at least a first polyphenolic compound selected from the group consisting of hydroxycinnamic acids, flavonoids, hydroxybenzoic acids, and (iii) optionally, a second polyphenolic compound, wherein the second polyphenolic compound is hydroxycinnamic acids and its use in preventing, inhibiting, retarding or treating a subject suffering from a neurodegenerative disease or condition.L'invention concerne une composition de combinaison comprenant, en tant que composants actifs, des quantités synergiquement efficaces de (i) une saponine stéroïdienne d'origine naturelle ou synthétique, un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable de celle-ci ou un extrait végétal contenant de la saponine stéroïdienne, et (ii) au moins un premier composé polyphénolique choisi dans le groupe constitué par les acides hydroxycinnamiques, les flavonoïdes, les acides hydroxybenzoïque et (iii) éventuellement, un second composé polyphénolique, le second composé polyphénolique étant des acides hydroxycinnamiques et son utilisation dans la prévention, l'inhibition, le retardement ou le traitement d'un sujet souffrant d'une maladie ou d'un état neurodégénératif.
