PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain compositions for the dyeing, especially for the oxidation dyeing, of keratin fibers, which do not have at least one of the drawbacks of the prior art.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a composition for dyeing or lightening human keratin fibers, comprising in a cosmetically acceptable medium: (a) at least 25% by weight of at least one fatty substance different from fatty acids； (b) at least one nonionic surfactant comprising ethylene oxide in an amount ranging from 10 mol to 80 mol； (c) at least one dye chosen from oxidation dyes and direct dyes； at least one basifying agent； or their mixture； and (d) at least one oxidizing agent. The disclosure also relates to a dyeing or lightening method using the same.
