The present invention addresses the problem of providing a composition useful in the fields of food, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, said composition being capable of synergistically enhancing antioxidant action. The present invention is achieved by preparing an antioxidant composition by combining a specific quantity of glutathione with a general antioxidant so as to prepare an antioxidant composition, thereby synergistically enhancing the antioxidant action of the antioxidant composition.
